HOW IT ALL BEGAN

Kountouros Bros Meat suppliers was founded in 1988 and started as a small shop in the Lycabettus avenue in Makedonitissa, Nicosia, Cyprus. Joint owners of the company are the brothers Adamos and Antonis Kountouros.

Kountouros Bros Met suppliers was founded in 1988 and started as a small shop in the Lycabettus avenue in Makedonitissa, Nicosia, Cyprus. Joint owners of the company are the brothers Adamos and Antonis Kountouros. The mission of the company was and still is to offer top quality services in the meat market sector (both retail and wholesale meat) as well as to ensure the provision of high-quality meat products to our customers.

After the long and successful operation of the Kountouros Meat Market, the butchery was upgraded to a high-tech and privately-owned shop on the same road at number 87. The current shop offers ease of shopping as well as a large parking space for its customers.

Since then, our facilities have expanded to a privately-owned technologically advanced meat cutting, processing, packing, and storage facility in the Ergates Industrial Area in Nicosia.

OUR FACILITIES

As far as retail is concerned, we operate at our main Meat Market in Egkomi as well as at the retail shop next to out production facilities in Ergates Industrial Area in Nicosia. technologically advanced meat cutting, processing, packing, and storage facility in the Ergates Industrial Area in Nicosia.

In 2017, we proceeded with the construction of a privately-owned technologically advanced meat cutting, processing, packing, and storage facility in the Ergates Industrial Area in Nicosia which serves hundreds of customers which are mainly restaurants, small butcheries, taverns as well as supermarkets. In order to be able to proceed with such a venture, we cooperated with world-wide reputable companies, mainly from Europe including Greece, France, Germany, Italy, Belgium, Spain, Denmark as well as the Netherlands. The production facilities operate under the strict regulations of ISO 9001, ISO 2200 and IFS (International Food Standards).

QUALITY

Owing one of the most technologically advanced production facilities on the island, we have prioritized the quality control of our products. As a result, we have achieved to impose full control over our production line. To make that possible we have introduced an innovative traceability system which aims to give un insights over our production line on an instance.

Moreover, in order to provide quality products to the entire range of our customers, the production areas, as well as the delivery areas, operate under a cooled and entirely temperature-controlled environment. At the same time, loading, unloading and temperature control procedures are in place throughout the products distribution fleet. In order to ensure the proper movement of our products, there is a centralized system for monitoring and monitoring the movement of all vehicles and their temperatures. Modern storage spaces that have the potential to maintain large numbers of products always provide the opportunity to have a wide range of products.

Product optimization and the development of the existing range are a priority and a key pillar of our success. Therefore, we have introduced a department that works with international companies to create innovative quality products and recipes.
